THE SCARECROW RECEIVING PRODUCTION AWARD!

Sascha Paeth, producer, engineer and guitarist of Avantasia has just received the prestigious sound award "Golden Bobby" by the German association of sound engineers (VDT) for the best production of the year 2008 - in the category Rock. The song that made the difference was the 11-minutes-epic "The Scarecrow".

The jury of highly acclaimed and established sound engineers and professors stated that they were astonished at the dynamics and the power and that they couldn't think of a song winning so clearly. "The Scarecrow", latest Avantasia album of Edguy-main man Tobias Sammet starred a long list of guest musicians (a.o. Bob Catley, Jorn Lande, Michael Kiske, Alice Cooper, KISS drummer Eric Singer, Scorpions guitarist Rudolf Schenker, Kai Hansen etc.), featured Top10 hit single "Lost In Space" and went on the official album charts in 15 countries, going Top10 in four countries. >>more
